Aisle B racking: reduced access until inspection sign-off

Following the forklift strike on 5 September, bays B-12 to B-16 are closed to forklift traffic until the racking supplier signs off the repaired upright. Pick from the alternative bays shown on your scanner. Forklift FL-11 remains tagged out. Report any further contact with racking immediately, no matter how minor.

Heat season and chilled chamber rotation

With warmer weather from October, chilled chamber work will move to twenty minutes in, ten minutes out rotations and water will be available at every dock. Drivers must check reefer set points before departure and record the temperature on the consignment note. See the goods receival procedure for probe thermometer checks.

Chain of Responsibility refresher for allocators and loaders

All allocators, loaders and team leaders will attend a ninety minute Chain of Responsibility refresher on 22 September in the training room. The session covers mass and load restraint checks, realistic scheduling and how to record a refused load. Attendance is recorded on the training matrix.

Welcome to our three new apprentice supply chain operators

Three new supply chain operations trainees start on the day shift at Dandenong South on 21 September. They will be supervised for their first five shifts under the forklift and traffic procedure and will rotate through receiving, picking and despatch over twelve weeks. Please make them welcome and show them how we do things here.

Evacuation drill, Dandenong South afternoon shift

An unannounced evacuation drill will take place on the afternoon shift during the week of 5 October. Wardens will sweep their areas and the assembly point is the north car park beside the weighbridge. Forklift operators must lower forks, switch off and remove keys. A debrief will follow at the next toolbox talk.
