The situation

What has happened

A forty foot container for Tallowood Timber Supplies, booked as CN-260906-0002, arrives by road on Saturday morning for the Perth service with a cut-off of 4:00 pm. Reach stacker RS-02 is in the workshop with a hydraulic leak, so the lift must be planned with RS-01. Last week a terminal tractor driver entered the siding before the train had stopped, which is recorded as INC-2026-0138 with actions still open, and the Terminal Manager wants the corridor access rules followed to the letter. The container must be gate checked, recorded, staged and lifted onto the correct wagon position before the train is released.

Your brief. Complete the container cycle from gate in to wagon loading safely and accurately: check the container and seal, record it, plan the lift with the available reach stacker, apply the rail corridor access rules during the lift, and update the consignment record so that the rail operator and the customer can see the box is on the train.

What to look for

Evidence guide

Look for a seal and condition check recorded before the container moves, a lift plan that names the exclusion zones and the confirmation step before entering the siding, and a pre-start record for the reach stacker. The consignment record must show the train, wagon and load time, and the student should show awareness of the recent breach in how they plan the siding access.

The student's evidence summary lists every record they created or changed in the systems named above, their notes and the tasks they ticked. Verify it against the deliverables and your own assessment tool.
