Safety, Compliance and Training
Owns the safety management system, Chain of Responsibility program, dangerous goods compliance, incident investigation, inductions, licensing and verification of competency records, and the internal audit calendar across all three sites.
What the team is accountable for
- Maintain the incident and hazard register and lead investigations
- Run inductions, toolbox talks and verification of competency assessments
- Keep the training matrix and licence expiry register current
- Audit Chain of Responsibility, fatigue and dangerous goods compliance
- Coordinate emergency drills and the emergency response plan
- Report safety performance to the leadership team monthly

Where the work is recorded
Incident and Hazard Register
The safety register for injuries, near misses, hazards, vehicle incidents, dangerous goods events and Chain of Responsibility events, with investigation and corrective action tracking.
Driver Fatigue and Work Diary Log
The allocator's daily record of each driver's planned and actual work hours, rest breaks, fitness for duty declaration and any limit flagged under the fatigue management policy.
Fleet and Plant Register
Records every truck, trailer, forklift and reach stacker with its pre-start status, service due dates, defects and roadworthiness.
