The situation

What has happened

Brightwater Pharmaceuticals has booked consignment CN-260905-0008: twelve cartons of isopropyl alcohol seventy percent, four by five litre containers per carton, a total of 240 litres, to be delivered to Wetherill Park in western Sydney on Friday 11 September. The load is class 3, packing group II, and exceeds the placard load threshold for the vehicle. Driver Liam Fitzgerald is allocated with rigid CL-21 and an overnight rest at Goulburn is planned. The Road Freight and Fleet Manager wants the transport document, placarding, emergency information, driver licence check, route and fatigue plan finalised and recorded before Thursday afternoon.

Your brief. What to look for

Evidence guide

The transport document must contain every element the policy lists and match the register and the stock record. Placarding decisions must be justified against the placard load threshold. The fatigue plan must show rest breaks and an overnight rest that keep the driver within standard hours, and the consignment record must be complete enough for another allocator to run the job.
